Research

The research programs of the Hawai`i Space Grant Consortium emphasize planetary geology, extraterrestrial materials, astronomy, and remote sensing at the secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Telescopes atop Mauna Kea, on the Big Island of Hawai`i, Leeward's 24" telescope facility, and the University's participation in numerous NASA missions, allow for detailed observations and research of meteorites and the planets, including Earth.
