Research

The research programs of the Hawai‘i Space Grant Consortium emphasize planetary geology, extraterrestrial materials, astronomy, and remote sensing at the secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Telescopes atop Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Leeward's 24" telescope facility, and the University's participation in numerous NASA missions allow for detailed observations and research of meteorites and the planets, including Earth.
