As highlighted in the earlier HSGC story about the Mission 10 team, Project IMUA gives students from different academic backgrounds the chance to work alongside NASA engineers while gaining real-world experience in rocketry, systems integration, and collaborative problem solving.

D'Elle Martin, team lead for Honolulu CC and a UH Mānoa architecture student, reflected that the project showed how students outside a traditional engineering major can still build teamwork skills, expand their technical experience, and discover new pathways into STEM careers.
