NGSG Drone Corps

On April 15, 2021, the University of Guam opened a drone program for students via NASA Guam Space Grant and NASA Guam EPSCoR. The goal of the UOG Drone Corps is to recruit and certify a team of student drone pilots to capture drone footage and data for agencies. The program will help students learn how to fly drones properly and inspire researchers to use drones in their work.

Applicants must be 18 years or older, U.S. citizens, and UOG Students. Members who receive their FAA license and achieve 80 hours of flight time each semester will be eligible for a $1,000 stipend.

Interested students may contact Romina King, associate director of NGSG and NASA Guam EPSCOR, via roking@triton.uog.edu.
