2014 LPI Summer Intern Program

Group photo of students with Astronaut Don Pettit.Jeffrey Murl, former HSGC undergraduate fellow (Fall 2013, with mentor Dr. Jeffrey Gillis-Davis) was selected from a highly competitive pool of more than 800 applicants to be one of 12 Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) Summer Interns. The LPI’s highly competitive intern program offers undergraduates the opportunity to experience cutting-edge research in lunar and planetary science, working one-on-one with scientists at the LPI and the NASA Johnson Space Center on a project of current interest in planetary science. Each intern receives a $5000 stipend plus travel money. This year’s program runs from June 2 through August 8. Photo is from a seminr talk by Astronaut Don R. Pettit.
