6th Annual Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery

The 6th annual Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery attracted 450 students, parents, and teachers to a full day of wonderful workshops, displays, and inspirational talks. Workshop topics included aeronautics, chemistry, computer programming, coral reef ecosystems, electricity, engineering, energy, medicine, modern and ancient navigational techniques, planetary science, robotics, rocketry, and weather. Hawaii Space Grant proudly supports this annual event with our cosponsors the Hawaiian Electric Company, Punahou School, the family of Lacy Veach, and the Center for Microbial Oceanography (C-MORE) and with the contribution of over one hundred volunteers
