2nd Annual Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery

Hawai`i Space Grant Consortium was pleased to be cosponsor of the 2nd annual Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery held November 15, 2003. Other cosponsors of the event are the Hawaiian Electric Company and Punahou School. The event was held in cooperation with and the support of the family of Lacy Veach, Hawai`i Science Teachers Association, NASA Ames Research Center, Polynesian Voyaging Society, Hawaii Academy of Science, Future Flight Hawai`i, and Creative Arts Hawaii. Space Grant’s communication and web specialist, Linda Martel, gave the afternoon keynote address about her summer in Antarctica with the Antarctic Search for Meteorites program sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
